EF2025 Talk Questions

This is a page to ask questions for my talk "How Drawing Programs Actually Work" at Eurofurence 2025. You can either fill out the form below or just message me directly somewhere, check out my links page.

If you're interested in how some feature in a drawing program works (or doesn't), why different programs do things differently, why something is slow, why a file format behaves a certain way or anything else, put it in here. It doesn't matter if it's a big or small question, I'll try to fit it in either way.

Currently planned topics:

• Image compositing, or why layer groups aren't "folders".
• How blend modes actually work (and why they sometimes don't.)
• Looking at the journey of an input on your tablet turning into a brush stroke on the canvas.
• What changing the DPI/PPI of your canvas really does.
• A quick fire round of things that can be explained very briefly.
